Take the Hemel Hempstead turn off (Junc' 8 M1) follow the Dual Carriage way to the Magic Roundabout

(five small roundabouts in a large circle).

Follow the A4146 between the tall Kodak building and the Town Centre. Hoo Lodge is about 6 miles from this roundabout. There is then a set of lights, a pedestrian crossing, a small roundabout, two larger roundabouts about a half mile apart. Next is the 'Hilliers Piccots End Garden Centre' on the left. Then 'The Flying Corkscrew' wine shop (speed cameras 40 mph limit). Then the 'Red Lion Pub'. Over a humped backed bridge directly after the pub, then a narrow bridge where you give way to on coming traffic. More speed cameras (40 mph limit). The 'Wyvale Garden Centre' is on the left after a chicane and crossroads. Opposite is a Parish Hall and set of cottages. Hoo Lodge is a half mile further along on the right. It makes the corner of Bradden Lane. Look out for the (Pub type) house sign on the right. The house is in the country but do not go too far.
