Chi is just a Chinese word for the body's intrinsic energy. The Japanese call it Ki. Hence terms such as Rei Ki. Spiritual Healers also manipulate the same type of energy.

There is a Chinese saying that goes something like this: 'You can live for 30 days without food and you can live for 3 days without water, you can live for 3 minutes without air but you cannot live for a second without Chi.'

Healing via the hands is as ancient as civilisation itself. It is a beautiful relaxing sensation. People comment on many different experiences when they under go a healing session. Some comment on a warm sensation, some a tingling; others feel ultimate peace and tranquillity. Some see colours and auras. Some individuals feel nothing, but this does not mean it has not worked.

A healer manipulates the energy of your body by their own energy system. The healer tries to cleanse, re-energise and balance a patient's energy field. Thus allowing the patients own revitalised energy to rectify the problem.
